from 608 reviewsThis is the coolest thing ever. This feeder was such a cool addition to my yard, I love the notifications and the stunning pictures.
I love this smart bird feeder! It captures bird videos and sends notifications, so I never miss any action. The SD card records for days, and it's so fun to watch the birds. Highly recommend! 😍🦜
I have been using this bird watcher for over a month now and I absolutely love it. My kids are learning about different birds that come by for visits. The pictures and videos and super clear and it was beyond easy to assemble. We have ours hanging on post that we dug in the ground and couldn’t be happier!
My pops loves to watch the birds in the back yard, but he spends a LOT of time working. We had a camera set up for our outdoor cats so we can watch them and track how often the come get their dinner (recently we saw their new kitten!!) so my family loves to watch animals through our cameras. I thought this would be a great gift considering how often we all love to watch them, and it is!It's really sturdy, the whole construction is metal which was surprising and welcome. It comes with a solar panel which I love (I use solar for a lot of projects) which plugs right into the back and attaches to the base of the bird feeder. It can be hung or put onto a stake, which I think is cool that both options are available. Definitely a great gift!
This Smart Bird Houses by Birdkiss, is a wonderful way to get amazing video of bird at their home, work and play. With a quality build, easy installation and viewing, this one is worthy of your consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This birdhouse looks and feels well-made out of quality materials. The house itself is primarily wood with smooth hinges and a decent paint job. The camera is also good quality with clear images.II. Installation – The house comes assembled and is as easy as any other bird house I’ve installed. The camera will take an additional 10 minutes, plus you need to mount the solar panel where it can get adequate light throughout the day.III. Performance – I’m very pleased with the look and performance of this bird house. It looks great where I currently have it installed and seems to be attractive enough to the birds to check it out as well. The camera is easy to view and provides a closeness and vantage point only seen on documentaries. It’s truly a blessing to have and be able to achieve this kind of closeness to the local birds I only wished I could have before getting this bird house. These a lot of great features with this set up like, real time notifications, bird identification, high resolution, recorded videos and more.Overall, I’m super impressed with this set-up and love all the great videos I can watch, providing me a closeness to my local birds like never before. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.
I am a big backyard birder and never thought this kind of bird house with a camera was a possibility. Within two days of putting it up with a baffle to ward off squirrels and predators, a house wren started checking it out. Within 24 hours of that, it was already full of sticks. Excited to see what will be next.Just make sure the solar panel is plugged in too. Customer service was quick to answer any questions too. Very happy with this!
I just received and set this up a couple days ago and after trying to figure out how to switch my 5GHz WiFi to 2.4GHz capacity, it works great!!!BUT - the only animals so far that I have captured on video have been squirrels 🐿️ !!!Hoping some birds will come too! 🤞🏻PLEASE NOTE: THIS CAMERA DOES NOT SUPPORT 5GHz WiFi or above. (This should really be in the description)
You’d be surprised what goes on in your yard when you aren’t looking! Yes, got a few birds this winter. I send the snapshots to Google lens for identification instead of paying for what I hear is terrible bird identification. We didn’t t try that. And yes, a squirrel found the feeder and he tried to get stuff out of the top and bottom. He probably gets a little, but moves on. Often I have video of his tail, which to me means he’s not eating much if anything and is moving on. In winter, perhaps the feeder is a good place for them to get food, but I expect when it’s warmer, traditional source will be easier and they’ll tend to leave the feeder alone.I was surprised that the deer like this. They almost visit nightly and at first couldn’t figure out how to get anything meaningful from the feeder like the squirrels. So it remained pretty full. However, the deer began to knock it (I have it on a relatively low pole in the ground.Currently I just leave the seed level low, since it’s winter and the deer and squirrels can’t get anything meaningful out of it. But at some point I want to fill it up and see what happens with my clear plastic seal idea. The only complaint I have other than the need for a gasket to prevent seed from falling through where the glass and camera meet is that I have been unable to record the video when playing from the SD card. Snapshots to my iPhone work fine. But videos always give me an error. Videos and images from the free cloud service also work. But the SD card videos would be much longer. I wrote feedback within the app. We’ll see if they can resolve it for me.
🦅 This is so fun!! We actually have more birds attracted to our yard now! We could sit and watch the birds all day! My husband faithfully keeps all our bird feeders full and it appears that they like this feeder better!! We had a big wind storm the other night, no problem for the very well built product. The video and pictures are so clear you feel so up close to our feathered friends. I love that the software tries to identify the type of bird and trust it’ll get even better with time. I get a kick outta being able to chat on the microphone with the birds and can tell they hear me, ok, which at times scares them off), but, they come right back! **** ADDITIONAL NOTE - although built very well the screws are rusting. Need to replace with stainless steel screws. This is going to be a hit next Christmas cuz I’m getting one for everyone! Also, btw, it actually makes a decent spy camera due to wide angle lens.
